Pastor Rick had a life-changing moment at 24, listening to Metallica in September 1994. He realized he needed to change his life and embraced purpose, spiritual values, and faith. This second chance fueled Pastor Rick's journey to help those stuck in destructive cycles.

In these tough times, Pastor Rick serves as a leader, locally and internationally. He's the Pastor at Iglesia Crosspoint, a bilingual church in Bellaire, Texas, and a Staff Evangelist at West University Baptist Church. He's also a John Maxwell Certified Life Coach and Spiritual Motivator, personally embodying the values he teaches.

The 1st Stone Recovery Support Group is a 12-week program helping young individuals and parents with impactful content, transforming thinking, provoking action, and fostering purpose. The Support Group challenges participants to overcome addictive behaviors and emotional hurdles for a purpose-driven life.

The 1st Stone Recovery Support Group covers topics like Relapse Prevention, Attitude, Choices, Emotional Stability, Recovery Support, and the 4 Pillars - King/Queen, Warrior, Mentor, Friend, along with Spiritual Foundation.

Referrals to this class for teens to young adults and parents are accepted from state, courts, and the community, evaluated case by case. Successful graduates receive a certificate, and the service is free of charge. Upon graduation, each 1st Stone participant gets a 6-month mentorship. All classes are in person and in Spanish only.
