Temozolomide, the active ingredient in Temosure 20 Capsule, is a prodrug that undergoes rapid conversion to the active compound MTIC (monomethyl triazeno imidazole carboxamide) at physiological pH. MTIC methylates DNA at the O6, N7, and N3 positions of guanine, leading to DNA damage and subsequent apoptosis (programmed cell death) of the cancer cells.
