The journey expands from an altitude of 2,875 m. to 4,425 m. and is a great blend of diverse nature and classical Himachal shades.
The Indrahar Pass links Kangra and Chamba districts and exposes a span of the Dhauladhar range with a remarkable peak of huts below. The trail from Triund to Lahesh Cave via Laka goes through a rocky grassy field.
The journey for the day starts from Lahesh Cave, walking over the rocks directly on the North East face of the hill, keeping the high wall of Mon towards its right. The trekking trail over the peak, trying to pass through several ascents. The view from the past is thrilling. The Kangra valley and the faraway valleys of Punjab lie in a blue haze to the south, while up north rises a series of ranges that include Pir Panjal to the north, Kishtwar to the west, Bara Bangahal to the east, and Manimahesh to the northeast.
The trail continues down to Chhata, passing through an untamed flow and over a gloomy rocks before arising into a beautiful valley ringed with a wide range of wildflowers. The route from Chhata snakes to Kuarsi via Kursi Nala and trees off at Brehi en route to Lamu, followed by Donali. Brehi is the entry point to Minikani Lake, and the pathway via Drakund breezes through dense forest. After passing Minikani Lake, the path leads to Kareri Lake, then to the Kareri camp, and finally to McLeodganj via a downhill trek.

- Triund Hill: A lush green hilltop with stunning views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Triund Trek is one of the most well-known treks inside the country, and it is also the easiest, with the best views.
- Bhagsu Waterfalls: Named after the Bhagsu village, this waterfall can be seen near a majestic Shiva temple just on the way to Indrahar Pass. You'll have to take a detour to see this majestic fall. The clear fall waters will tempt you to take a relaxing bath.
- Tibetan Museum: One of McLeod Ganj should be places to visit, it's situated near the beginning of your journey to Indrahar Pass. The mesum offers an aura of peace and tranquility while also encompassing a wealth of information about Tibetan culture.
- Jwala Devi Temple: One of the 52 Shakti Peeth temples, this temple stays in the lap of unaltered beautiful nature and it may involve a detour from your trek. Even in the far reaches of this tranquil temple, there aren't any settlements.
- Kareli Lake: This freshwater lake is one of the most picturesque sights on the way to Indrahar Pass. If you're lucky, you could witness flocks of migratory birds, trying to make your visit even more unforgettable.

The months of May, June, September, and October are suitable for touring Indrahar Pass Trek because the weather is pleasant. Avoid going during the monsoons. Due to heavy snowfall in the region during the winter, the trail to Indrahar Pass was closed.
