Purpose of Heart

The heart, the pump that circulates blood throughout the body, may be a simple straight tube in primitive organisms like spiders and annelid worms, or it can be more elaborate NURS FPX 6026 Assessment 2 with receiving chambers (atria) and main pumping chambers (ventricles), as in fishes and amphibians. In mammals and birds it is a four-chambered double pump that forms the centre of the circulatory system.

The heart is the most important organ of the human body. From its beginning in the 4th gestational week until death, it works continuously to keep blood moving through the systemic and pulmonary circuits. The muscular ventricles are responsible for this monumental task, and they must perform it with precision, reliability and endurance. The heart is the source of life, so we must treat it with great care.

Self-Discipline

Self discipline is a crucial skill for learning and mastering any topic. It involves restraining your impulses and delaying gratification, as well as establishing a plan of action for reaching your goals. It also enables you to resist distractions, eliminate procrastination and stay on track with lessons and assignments.

To build your self-discipline, you can start by setting small goals. For example, waking up 10 minutes earlier or making a commitment to daily 15-minute workouts. Make sure your goals are realistic NURS FPX 6026 Assessment 3 Letter to the Editor and aligned with the things you value. This will keep you motivated to persist in the face of setbacks.

Additionally, you can increase your motivation by seeking out accountability partners or engaging in one-way accountability with a trusted friend. Having someone to check in with and support you during hard times is a great way to sustain your efforts and build your confidence. This can also help you recognize your successes and celebrate your growth.

Self-Awareness

Self-awareness is the ability to recognise your thoughts and emotions. It enables you to gain greater control over them and be aware of how you react to certain situations or topics, for example you might be more prone to getting frustrated in traffic and be mindful of the way your behaviour might affect those around you. This allows you to avoid triggering negative feelings and improve your communication with others in the workplace.

It is important to note that self-awareness should not be confused with consciousness in the sense of qualia, which refers to awareness of one’s body and environment. A number of philosophical debates have discussed whether or not a subject’s consciousness NURS FPX 6614 Assessment 2 Enhancing Performance requires an awareness of extra-mental objects (see, for instance, Metzinger 2003: SS2.1). The medieval philosopher Aquinas sometimes endorsed this view, but other commentators disagreed. Avicenna argued, in particular, through his ‘Flying Man’ thought experiment, that a person floating in a void with all of their senses disabled could still be self-aware (see Kaukua 2015: ch. 4).
