GoSharpener Hosts Youth Hygiene Awareness Session in Collaboration with Innovist

New Delhi, July 2025 – As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering students with sustainable life skills, GoSharpener, India’s leading youth-focused sustainability platform, recently conducted an engaging session on personal hygiene and self-care for school students. The session was hosted in partnership with Innovist, a leading lifestyle and wellness brand, and saw enthusiastic participation from students across grades.

The hour-long workshop, full of interactive demonstrations and open discussions, emphasized the importance of everyday hygiene practices, especially during the sweltering summer months. Experts from Innovist highlighted the need to apply sunscreen daily before school, take proper hair care measures, and protect oneself from direct sunlight using hats or scarves.

The session encouraged students to reflect on their own self-care routines, aligning with the principles of SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being. Children actively shared their morning habits, showing a strong sense of awareness and discipline around their physical and mental wellness. Key habits discussed included:

  • Staying hydrated throughout the day

  • Practicing short morning meditation to manage stress

  • Eating a healthy breakfast, a habit reinforced during GoSharpener’s recent World Health Day campaign

  • Starting the day with gratitude and positivity

  • Leaving home with a smile, spreading cheer and self-confidence

  • Practicing hand hygiene responsibly while conserving water by turning off taps during handwashing

“Gone are the days when self-care was taboo for children. Today’s students must be aware of their well-being to thrive in a fast-paced world. Through this initiative, we support SDG 3 by promoting good health and hygiene in schools,” said Mr. Prateek Kumar, Co-founder of GoSharpener.

“Sustainability begins with self. If we don’t care for ourselves, how can we care for the planet? Let’s agree to self-care and lead by example,” added Mr. Ankit Kapoor, Co-founder of GoSharpener.

Through this initiative, GoSharpener continues to create climate-conscious, wellness-oriented learning environments. By combining eco-education with personal development, the platform ensures students grow into responsible citizens who value both personal hygiene and environmental sustainability.
