In a video posted to Twitter on Thursday, the iconic brothers can be heard talking before emerging from a sewer hole. No other information was provided, though given that Season 02 Reloaded of Black Ops 6 will have some ninja themes, it's safe to assume the turtles will be dropping relatively soon.
For what it's worth, this won't be the first collaboration between TMNT and COD. Hardcore COD fans may remember that in Modern Warfare 2, Shredder was added as an Operator skin for both Warzone and the core multiplayer experience. Oddly enough, no other character was added. More so, with Black Ops 6 not featuring Carry Forward, the only time you'll potentially see Leo and Co. and Shredder is in Warzone.
Since the launch of Black Ops 6 in October, the presence of non-traditional multiplayer skins has had mixed reception from longtime fans. For instance, the January Squid Games collaboration was met with swaths of negativity, particularly due to the existence of a paid reward track, separate from everything else. That particular move had fans calling for the game to become free-to-play.
Elsewhere, one player calculated that collecting the first two months of cosmetics would require players to invest a whopping 108,100 COD points, or the equivalent of $840 real-life dollars. That's not to mention that some skins are virtually impossible to see, giving the game a "pay-to-win" feeling, according to dissatisfied players. In other words, the upcoming TMNT collaboration will no doubt have its supporters, but it's equally likely to have as many detractors.
